Club Physiotherapy: (Senior Men/Ladies teams & coaches ONLY)
The GAA Injury Benefit Fund does not cover general Physio treatment.
Cortoon GAA and LGFA has an appointed Physio (contact club for details) and must be the one used. Treatment is for injuries sustained ONLY while playing/training for the club.
Fees must be paid upfront by the injured player. The player must indicate at the time of booking that they are a Cortoon GAA and LGFA member to avail of the Club Rate.
The club will reimburse 50% of the cost, Health insurance may cover some of costs and 10% can be claimed via Annual Tax returns. (Health expenses are claimed through your Income Tax Return. If you are a Pay As You Earn (PAYE) taxpayer, you also have the option to claim relief in real time during the year, claiming Health Expenses)
Stamped and dated receipts must be provided to Cortoon GAA and LGFA within 1 month of finishing treatment.
All Players are limited to 5 sessions for an injury. Cortoon GAA and LGFA must be notified where further sessions are required to seek approval.
Alternative or specialised Physio treatments must first be approved by the club.
NO Physio costs will be reimbursed unless first approved by the Club.
The decision of the Cortoon GAA and LGFA executive is final in relation to this policy.
Note: It is mandatory for, and the responsibility of each individual player to use a mouth guard.
